This summer, the historic Odd Fellows building we call home felt alive again - filled with students, actors, and audience after a very challenging year. This Blue Lake building has stood for more than a century, and it has seen a lot. Thousands of people have come through its doors, sung down its halls, sat in the audience, rolled on the studio floors, and created worlds on its stages.
The last major renovation at Dell'Arte was in 1995. Now after 29 years the roof is doing what roofs of a certain age do. We have made stop-gap patches over the last few years, but it's now unavoidable to prevent further damage.
This structure is more than a building; it is our shared home. It has allowed us to not only create theatre and teach students eager to improve their artistry, but also to take that artistic work out into the community and onto other stages. Whether that stage is a prison yard or an elder care facility, our creative energy and resilience travel with us, transforming spaces and the people in them.
Help preserve the historic Oddfellows Hall for further decades of enjoyment, training and laughter by students, audiences and community members.
